After more than 30 years working in early childhood education, owner Kristy founded Zen for Kids with a clear purpose: to create an early learning centre that values calm, emotional safety and real human connection above all else.
Zen for Kids brings together evidence-based care and holistic practices to support children in a world that often feels too fast and overstimulating. From the moment families walk in, the intention is simple: to offer a sense of ease, trust and belonging for both children and parents.
As a hands-on, owner-operated child care centre, Zen for Kids is guided daily by presence, consistency and care. Every decision is made with the whole family in mind, creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, seen and supported as they grow.

Nutrition
We believe food is foundational to wellbeing. Our children enjoy freshly prepared, balanced meals each day, made with care and intention by our two in-house chefs.
Mealtimes are calm, unhurried moments that support healthy habits, independence and connection, nourishing children physically while also supporting emotional regulation and focus.
Wellness
Wellness at Zen for Kids is woven gently into the rhythm of each day. Through mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, sound healing and emotional literacy practices, children are supported to tune into their bodies, recognise their feelings, regulate their energy and feel grounded in themselves and their surroundings.
Safety
Your child’s safety is at the heart of everything we do.
Our centre operates a secure, multi-layered entry process. Each family receives a unique door code for controlled access to the foyer, all arrivals and departures are signed in and out at reception, and a second secure door separates the foyer from our learning spaces.
Beyond secure entry, every educator holds current first aid, CPR and child protection training, with regular refreshers and ongoing professional development, including Mental Health First Aid for room leaders.
